Wireless Local Number Portability (also known as WLNP or porting) makes it easy to bring your current phone number (wireless or landline) to US Cellular.* All you need is a recent invoice from your current service provider and we'll do the rest!

HOW CAN I PORT MY NUMBER?
- Stop and shop: Bring a recent invoice from your current service provider to one of our retail locations or call 1-888-BUY-USCC. Tell your sales associate that you want to port your number to US Cellular. Select your rate plan, phone and optional features.
- Verification: US Cellular will contact your current service provider to verify relevant data and request that your number be ported. You don't have to do a thing!
- Port completion/Phone pick up: US Cellular will notify you that your number was ported successfully and invite you to pick up your new phone. If you place your order through 1-888-BUY-USCC, your phone will be shipped to you at no additional cost.
- Activation/Deactivation: When you stop back in to the US Cellular retail store to pick up your new phone, your new phone will be activated and service with your former carrier will be deactivated.**
*WLNP may not be available in all areas and from all telecommunications providers. A fee may be assessed when porting out a U.S. Cellular number to another service provider. Porting is only possible within your calling area, not from one city to another.
